Codger is one of a range of t shirts designed to celebrate the rude and disempowering words used to describe older people. Women get it in the neck especially, with a cornucopia of insults ranging from Hag and Crone to Witch and Bint.
Although men fair rather better with 'Silver Fox' there's still some fun to be had and so here is my dashing friend Nick modelling Codger.
An old Codger typically is unfashionable, unhealthy, stuck in their ways and grips about the young. I won't go into all the reasons why Nick is the polar opposite of this description but suffice to say he embroiders his own clothes, cycles or sails daily, writes and illustrates exquisite books like his latest 'Racing Bicycles' (due out in June) and pours his passions for art, sport, literature, travel, history and nature into his lovely son's ears and heart. A savvy, kind-hearted, big-brained belter of a dad and a really damn nice bloke to know.
The type is hand weeded using a flock vinyl onto cotton t shirts, which is damn fiddly I can tell you! We are happy to offer other coloured tops if you're more moody, and have grey and black on hand at all times. We can also do larger size, long arms in some colours and organic sweatshirts for £35.
We are also able to print onto your own clothing. Tops, jumpers even lightweight coats! So if you have a much loved but bedraggled fave, why not let our Clothing Hospital rejuvenate it and make it splendid again. Please just email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Packed for free in a bijou cotton gift bag and we are happy to handwrite gift messages onto V&A cards on request.
We love to see you photos, so if you upload any images of this t shirt, please remember to tag us @twistdtwee and use tags #oldgirlpower and #happyhags
