A high water mark for any Binfluencer is to mingle with bins of Hackney Wick. In the great court of refuse, the bins of Hackney Wick are thrones.
Entwined in graffiti, camouflaged against the scrawling walls and chromatic eruption of this shrinking area’s tatty majesty, these bins are an endangered species. Their extinction portended by the souring steel sheet buildings that are slicing through the few remaining crumbling enclaves of riotous pigment, strong coffee and arty beer.
So I stand with them.
This ‘Scrap Dress’ is a much loved Cos dress from some summer’s back. I overturned a drawerful of vinyl offcuts onto it to adopt the bins’ native weave and to visually chat the local vernacular. It’s a roomy size 10-12, with two deep pocket and a high / low hem. Made from light, airy parachute type material. The back is plain. The price including UK delivery.
